With a range of sizes to fit babies from 0-24 months, this sewing pattern will produce a pair of trendy tracksuit pants which are fitted at the waist and cuffs to provide warmth during cooler days or evenings.
Comfort and practicality are my top priorities when creating clothing for babies. In order to simplify this kids garment, I’ve eliminated unnecessary elements such as pockets or drawstring around the waist (the bub won’t miss them!) and have instead included a faux drawstring tie for a fashionable appearance.
The finished product features an elastic waistband that’s a breeze for caregivers to slide over tiny tushies. There’s also extra space in the leg to fit comfortably over nappies/diapers, allowing for unrestricted movement.
Babies are born to wiggle, and these sweat pants are designed for freedom of movement while crawling, playing, or exploring.
